United Locations

UNDERGROUND reservoirs, graded listed buildings, tunnels and castle ruins – just some of the weird and wonderful locations a utility company is offering to filmmakers.

United Utilities is the UK’s largest operator of water and wastewater networks and owns over 140,000 acres of land in the Northwest – and some of these amazing locations are now available as the backdrop to film and television productions.

In the 1980s Sleddale Hall in Cumbria was used for many scenes in the classic cult film, Withnail and I, but now, even more United Utilities locations are being made available.

United Utilities has been working with Vision and Media to showcase what they have on offer. Their portfolio can be found at www.unitedutilities.com/filmlocations or enquiries can be made via our Film Offices.
