Tres Pesos: World Premiere

Northwest Vision and Media are proud to have supported Tres Pesos, an exciting new documentary that's had its world premiere as part of the London International Documentary Film Festival. The screening took place at the Curzon Soho, on Sunday 30th March.

Unfolding in three chapters of rare intimacy and candour, Tres Pesos offers an insight into the everyday lives of young Cuban reggaeton musicians. Living in the neglected outskirts of Havana, the musicians who rap and jam together share a relentless hunger for success despite the poverty of their daily existence.

Tres Pesos is supported by The Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation (Britdoc) and the UK Film Council through Northwest Vision and Media. Post-screening discussion in the bar was with the director Ruth Cross, cinematographer/editor Michael Clements and Britdoc.

The film will also be making its Northwest premiere in Manchester at the press/VIP launch of Moves08 at the Cervantes Institute on Thurs 17 April, and then will screen during the Moves08 festival in Lancaster at the Dukes Cinema on Saturday 26 April.
