The One Show to spend £2.3 Million commissioning short films
The BBC is looking to commission around 320 short films (between two and five minutes long) for The One Show and is currently looking for proposals from both in-house and independent producers who wish to be considered as key suppliers.
The commissions are open to independent suppliers based outside the M25 and the items must qualify as regional production. The BBC intends to appoint a small number of suppliers and there also may be further opportunities going forward for some smaller scale commissioning.
The One Show was successfully piloted over four weeks last summer and returns for a lengthy run this year. The deadline for submitting completed application forms, written proposals and other requested information is 2nd March 2007.
