TV Networking

Alchemy
Assistance for Northwest-based companies focused on exploring new media opportunites, and product development funding.

Canadian Co-production Networking Opportunity
Co-productions can be highly beneficial to filmmakers and TV producers; not only do they foster new creative relationships, but both parties often qualify for benefits - such as tax relief - in the UK and partner country. Vision and Media took advantage of a group of visiting Canadian producers from Nova Scotia and invited them to form part of a Manchester networking lunch in early November 2007. David MacLeod, Big Motion Pictures, discussed his experience as the Canadian producer for the UK co-production Sex Traffic, the award-winning mini-series for Channel Four and CBC.

Meet the Commissioner
Vision and Media helped facilitate this Channel 4 briefing at Manchester Art Gallery on 23 October 2007. Northwest production companies were invited to attend alongside Caroline Leddy (Commissioning Editor, Comedy and Head of Film Comedy), Liam Humphreys (Commissioning Editor, Features) and Alistair Pegg (Editor, Factual Entertainment) representing Channel 4. Stuart Cosgrove, the channel’s Director of Nations & Regions, chaired the event.
