New Signing for Cheshire and Warrington Film Office
The beautiful County of Cheshire, backdrop to productions such as Pride and Prejudice, Casanova, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Jane Hall's Big Bad Bus Ride and Hollyoaks, now has a new film liaison officer to promote and support filming in the region.
North West Vision has appointed Samantha Hall for the position of film liaison officer for Cheshire and Warrington. As the latest addition to a rapidly expanding film office team, Samantha will promote the county's wealth of varied locations and talented professionals, and provide support and advice to productions being filmed in the county.
Bringing with her over 10 years experience of working in TV production, Samantha has worked for major broadcasters and some of the industry's most prolific indies such as Red Production Company, Kudos Film and Television and Hat Trick Productions.
In 2004 production activity in the Northwest generated £45m into the local economy. Supported by many of the Local Authorities (see a list of partners below) and the Cheshire & Warrington Tourism Board, the Cheshire & Warrington Film Office helps to bring a significant amount of inward investment into the region.
The film office is based at Warrington Borough Council International Business Centre, ideally placed to continue to raise the profile of Cheshire & Warrington on a regional, national and international level.
Cheshire and Warrington are ideal places to film, with a world of stunning locations ranging from stately homes and gardens to canals and waterways, walled roman cityscapes to industrial landscapes and market towns. Situated between Manchester and Liverpool there are also great transport connections. What more could you ask for in a filming location?
