Control
Claraflora Productions: A profile of Ian Curtis, the enigmatic singer of Joy Division whose personal, professional, and romantic troubles led him to commit suicide at the age of 23. Scenes were filmed outside Ian Curtis’s old home in Macclesfield.

Crimes That Shook Britain: Hungerford
Title Role:This programme focuses on the Hungerford Massacre. On 19 August 1987, a small village in Berkshire became the setting for what was then the biggest mass murder in British history.

Living On The Edge
Lime Pictures: Following the lives and loves of 10 glamorous and beautiful Northwest teens living in the lap of luxury, this eight-part series for MTV was aired from October 2007.

The Big Day
Lion TV: A series presented by Nick Knowles, each episode sees one couple hand over the planning and decisions surrounding their entire wedding to their families and friends. An episode of this was filmed in and around Warrington.

Window onto the World
TBS Vision: One of Japan’s leading commercial TV networks came to Chester to film several locations including Bishop Lloyds House, The Rows, Tudor House, Eastgate Clock, Blue Bell, Pied Bull, Bear and Billet and Chester Castle.

Drop Dead Gorgeous
Hat Trick North: Filming of the second series of this popular drama about a Northern girl plucked from obscurity by a modelling agency started in February 2007.

GoldPlated
WorldProductions: This Channel 4 production showed Cheshire’s nouveaux riche, in an eight-part comedy drama.

Lillies
World Productions: This eight-part drama was set in dockland Liverpool in the 1920’s but also filmed at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum and Chester City Baths.

Blue Murder III
ITV Granada: The detective drama starring Caroline Quentin as Detective Chief Inspector Janine Lewis filmed at Tatton Park and Alderley Edge for four days in 2006.

Mark Of Cain
Red Productions: This drama about two soldiers in Iraq filmed for a day at Mr Smith’s Nightclub in Warrington.

Vincent II
ITV Granada: Starring Ray Winstone and Suranne Jones, the second series of this private eye drama filmed in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Mobile
ITV Granada: The 3x90 minute episodes were written by John Fay (Coronation Street, Clocking Off) and directed by Stuart Orme (Ghostboat, Cold Blood). Mobile is a conspiracy thriller which unfolds against the backdrop of the Iraq war and the corrupt world of the multibillion pound mobile phone industry. This exciting new drama filmed for nine days in Warrington and Macclesfield.

Flynn Productions: The chart-topping singer filmed the video for her single Like a Star at Doddington Hall in Nantwich.
