Film Network - Filmmaking Guide

Film Network has launched a new Filmmaking Guide, a great resource for new and aspiring filmmakers as well as filmmakers looking to break from shorts into features.

What is the Filmmaking Guide?
The guide provides advice on the filmmaking and exhibition process, from pre-production through to marketing and distribution. In the new guide, they’ve sought to answer common questions that received from filmmakers such as:

What makes a good short film?;
How do I market my short?;
What clearances do I need?;
Which festivals should I enter first?

As well as including all the information from before, they’ve also written and added new sections which include:

Legal guides offering detailed advice on rights and clearances on all aspects of the filmmaking and exhibition process
Case studies with filmmakers and the industry
Detailed sections on the exhibition and distribution process
Links and information about hundreds of film/filmmaking organisations
