Cheshire and Warrington Film Office

The Cheshire and Warrington Film Office was established in 2001, and since Film Liaison Officer Emma Welland’s appointment in 2006, production enquiries have increased by 30 per cent in the last year.

In 2006 there was a 49.5% increase in filming compared with the previous year. And of all production enquiries made, over 50 per cent resulted in filming in the region, generating an estimated £3.3 million worth of inward investment from film/TV production into the Cheshire and Warrington economy.

“On location, Cheshire and Warrington are very film friendly, with the local councils offering full support to production companies,” says Emma Welland. “There are also so many hidden gems in the region, that I guarantee no-one will be disappointed with what they find.”
