Bluefire
Bluefire! A Greater Manchester Roadshow with a Twist of Culture!

Bluefire! is a cultural diversity project established by Kino Film that delivers a key festival and a specialist roadshow for Greater Manchester facilitating and connecting film based activity produced by and for locally based African, Caribbean, Chinese and South Asian communities and individuals.
Bluefire! is funded by AGMA (Association of Greater Manchester Authorities) & Arts Council England , Northwest. Bluefire! has produced four key roadshow events within Oldham, Trafford, Bury and Sale within recent months and is fast becoming a key platform for the exhibition and screening of local films made, produced and featuring Greater Manchester artists and filmmakers.
Attended by a wide variety of people of varying cultural backgrounds, Bluefire! has a special invite platform for UK filmmakers that provides an exciting, thought-provoking Q&A session that anyone can participate in and learn more about how things work from those in the industry. Bluefire! also provides professional advice and support service featuring information on broadcast media and opportunities in further educational training.
Providing a key platform for the delivery of the North West Vision cultural diversity strategy, Bluefire regular Emerald Hunte, Diversity Officer for the regional screen agency has provided an insight to the differing schemes and filmmaking opportunities that are delivered within the region.
